The Writers Lab Europe - for women and non-binary screenwriters, aged 40+

For the third consecutive year, The Writers Lab NYC (supported by Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman) have successfully collaborated with Untamed Stories to bring the Lab to UK and European screenwriters. Last year’s UK Lab was supported by Dirty Films, the production company headed by Cate Blanchett, Andrew Upton, Coco Francini and Georgie Pym.
Advisors and guests will include Succession writer Susan Soon He Stanton, Call My Agent! star Camille Cottin, The Split writer Abi Morgan, I May Destroy You story consultant Stephanie Yamson, Call Me By Your Name casting director and line producer Stella Savino, founder of the British Blacklist Akua Gyamfi, Better Things creator and star Pamela Adlon and 11 Flowers producer Didar Domehri.
Up to 15 writers will be selected to participate in this 6-month virtual programme. Applicants will need to be available for the 3-day virtual lab, regular meetings, and dedicated writing time from September 2023 to March 2024.

The Austrian Financial Partners are ÖFI – The Austrian Film Institute, FISA plus – Film Industry Support Austria, ORF – Austrian Broadcasting, the Lab is in association with Drehbuchforum Wien (Screenwriters Forum Vienna).
